A short summary of MY project
I will be volunteering in Southeast Asia this summer for two weeks, working with a group of people from around the world, with a focus on an elephant conservation project and the education and infrastructure of a rural village school.
Who AM I?
My name is Carly Cuddy, I'm 20 years old and I'm studying silversmithing and jewellery in Ulster University.
And I need your help!
My story
A project like this is something I have always wanted to be involved in, so when I seen this opportunity I knew I just had to seize it!
This amazing opportunity will allow me to fulfil my passion of helping others, as well as moving out of my comfort zone and gaining new experiences.
This trip has 3 main objectives; the first being an elephant conservation project, aiming to rehabilitate formerly domesticated elephants. In the rural Sayaboury region the community is suffering from a severe lack of resources, which is where the other 2 objectives come in. The second is a village school project, where we will be helping brighten up the school facilities with fresh coats of paint, uplifting murals and infrastructure.
Through fundraising, I will be actively helping to support the rehabilitation of elephants and help to secure the future of these children and help them to escape the poverty cycle. I'm so grateful for any size of donation. It's you making the difference!

Flights- £650+
Project cost- £1300+
